How Do You...? please help?!?

how do you keep flowers alive without a vase?

i know this is in the wrong category, but no one is anwsering in the other ones.

i'm at work.

it is my coworkers birthday.

she got off work earlier, and i stay till 5.

an hour after she left, someone delivered flowers while i wasnt there.

i come back and flowers are there for her, but shes not even here!

shes working tomarrow, and the only choice would be to leave them here.

i dont want them to die though.

and there are no vases here.

how do i keep them alive?

theres: a freezer. refridgerator, sink. etc. and the room is air conditioned.

please help!

How Do You...? please help?!?
You could try wetting a few paper towels and wrapping the ends of the flowers in the wet paper towels, then if there is foil, wrap that around the paper towel. The paper towel should be soaking wet.

If you have a glass put them in the glass with water.Make a nice arrangement and put them on her desk.
Reply:put them in the fridge
Reply:try and find something that will hold water and put them in it.If there really isn't anything around, even your coffee mug, soak paper towels or newspaper and put it around the bottom of the stems.I would NOT put them in the fridge,I have had flowers wilt from doing that.
Reply:I'm assuming they are cut flowers and not in an arrangement? An arrangement will have a small bowl or other container with a block of foam in it that will hold water, and the flowers are stuck in that. If that's what you have, don't worry, they'll be fine. Before you leave, make sure the water container is full and put them in the fridge.

If the flowers are just in a box by themselves, find any clean container (coffee cup, coffeepot, bucket, cut off the top of a soda or water bottle) and put them in water in that. Leaving them in a sink full of water overnight would be fine too, if you can be sure that the water won't drain out. The A/C will actually help them stay fresh, at the florist they keep them in fridges.

Call your coworker and ask if she can come back to get them, or ask if you should take them home with you till tomorrow.

Or get some wet paper towels, wrap the flower stems with them, cover the flowers with them and put them back in their box in the fridge. They will probably be OK till tomorrow.

Good luck, you're a good person to be worrying about this for your coworker!
Reply:well try to find an empty water bottle and fill it up and put them in there, or use the sink...hope i helped!!!!!!!!!!

also u could go look for a vending machine to buy a bottle or cup
Reply:Call and tell her about the delivered flowers, let her decide!
Reply:you could put them in the fridge. i saw a flourist do this.
Reply:put them in the refrigerater
Reply:Get a cup of water and leave them there, or take it home and give it to her tomorrow. Wow, you're really nice, it's HER flowers. Most people wouldn't care.
Reply:put them in the refridgerator!!!
Reply:o thats ez.. but them in the refridgerator...
Reply:put the im the refridgerator..that will keep them fresh. but call her and tell her to bring a vase for the flowers tomorrow.
Reply:fill the sink with water and stick the flowers in
