give to recieve ? or do you get a kick out of someone face when you surprise them ?

Do you always ?
Oh yeah. I love that too. Seeing someones face when you give them something sweet or sentimental. The best face I have ever seen was my old supervisor. One day she was sitting telling me about a song her grandfather used to sing to her when she was a little kid and she couldn't remember the words but she remembered the title and that it was about a girl and she was called Pretty Poppy. When I went home I googled it and it came up. I typed it out on some really pretty paper and put an old picture of a young woman and poppies on it. I got a frame and framed it and when I gave it to her she said she was touched and her eyes welled up with tears and she had huge a big smile on her face. It made my day! ;)


I love doing that sort of stuff for people as I am an extremely sentimental person.

Reply:I like to give. Family members would tell me at birthdays or Christmas not to be getting them anything, but I always do and the look on their faces makes it all worth while and makes me feel "I'm glad I did".

Reply:No never I find a lot of pleasure in thinking about what people would like and buying it.


I love their reaction when they open their presents my daughter is 18 tommorow and I am more excited than she is I have been to the pound shop to fill her presents up with funny stupid things she can laugh over priceless.

Reply:Same as you Angel, %26amp; in fact i don't like the thought of giving in order that you might recieve, it sort of defeats the purpose don't you think. It's the feeling you get inside when you see the delight or joy in someones face or mood thats such a fantastic buzz x

Reply:I give to people that I know aren't going to give me anything. I love giving gifts. I get bummed when I am strapped for cash around Christmas time and I can't get people the things I really want to give them.
Reply:I really love to surprise people. I honestly love giving gifts to people. I especially enjoy the look on my kids face on Christmas morning.

Reply:I admit I feel a little sad if I don't have a gift from someone/only have one or two presents to open on Christmas day but I still always have enjoyed looking for a good present for someone, wrapping it, giving it to them and seeing them use it/wear it or whatever. Knowing they do like what I picked out, makes me smile and feel good.

Reply:good question , i do sometimes wonder in this world the ratio of givers to receivers, for me i would say i guess people always give to receive as in give a present to receive their happiness or like a hug even

Reply:I give to give. But if they want to give back, that's great. ;) Haha. I'm not doing too much Christmas shopping this year, just a small gift for my father, grandmother and a bigger gift for my mother and little cousin.
Reply:No way do I give to receive! I absolutely love giving gifts, anytime of year. I especially love it when I've been able to pick up on little hints as to what someone really wants, and then get that for them. The look on their faces just makes it all worthwhile!
Reply:I like to try and find something that the person would never buy for themselves - I don't give to receive as I am not into stuff (although I have a lot of old tat that I must get round to dumping one day!).





So people mainly buy me food, drink, ties and socks if anything at all. I prefer just to see the people themselves.
