does anyone know any places where they will deliver them at a low cost? she loves sunflowers. under $25
I want to send my mom flowers for her birthday.?
The least expensive way I have found to have flowers delivered is to call a florist in the town in which your Mom lives. Look for the names/numbers of the florists on the internet and call direct. You cut the "middle man" fees that way.
Reply:That is so sweet!
Reply:Sorry cant help with the flowers But your Mum should be proud she has a lovely caring daughter

Are there companies that deliver cakes?
I am looking to deliver an ice cream cake to my girlfriend in Cottage Grove, MN. However, I am not sure if places deliver cakes or even ice cream cakes.
So does anyone know how I could accomplish this task? If at all?
I am looking to also send flowers and balloons though all of this doesn't have to be bundled, and it has to be an ice cream cake.
I would GREATLY appreciate any and all help. I really want to make this a special birthday for her!

How does a guy feel about having flowers delivered by his gf on his bday?
guys out there.. would you feel comfortable if this happens to you? i was thinking of having flowers delivered to my bf's home as a surprise for his bday.
How does a guy feel about having flowers delivered by his gf on his bday?
Guys and flowers...hell no! They have no interest with flowers. Better send him a bday cake. Food are more meaningful.
Reply:I am a woman, but wanted 2 tell u about my bf's reaction... I was disappointed actually! ;) I didn't send him flowers cos I was wondering if he'll like it (just like urself), but I did come over %26amp; brought him just one red rose (not more because of the previous reason)... %26amp; he said he was not a gay (?!?!?!) I was so very disappointed but didn't argue - still it was his day... But, he still keeps that rose (even almost 11 months later and even it is faded)... %26amp; I really don't know what 2 think...
Reply:I definitely agree with "Boo" food means so MUCH MORE to guys
Reply:Well... flowers are okay, but I'd personally much rather have you deliver lingerie!
Seriously, I'd rather go out to dinner, or have you make me a nice dinner, or bring ingredients for something I like to cook and a DVD of a movie I'd like to see and we could have a romantic evening together. Or just spending some quality time with you would be better than flowers...
Reply:Hopefully he does not have a bad heart 'cos he may have heart attack out of excitement. You go girl.
Reply:I wouldn't do that, unless he is a plant collector or works in the garden a lot. Traditionally, flowers are given from the guy to the girl. Instead of giving him flowers, make a CD with all his favorite songs and have a cook out for his birthday. It might offend him, even if he doesn't show it. But, it is sweet to think of doing something special for him.

Reply:If its to his house its ok But if a gf sent me flowers. She would have to send it to my work and I think even though my friends at work would never let me live it down it would be nice.
Reply:uuummm i think that anything more then a single flower would be over doing it. and depending on the work place your bf's co workers could tease him about it :P
it is a nice idea, but i would say to got for something safer.
Reply:I would feel grateful that she was thinking of me. But a flyfishing rod would be nicer.
Reply:Happy and thankful, says the man
Reply:I was actually going to do that once but I didn't cuz my brother said it was gay to send a guy flowers he said what is a guy going to do with flowers?

I'm delivering Flowers for the New Year... Is this a Cute Message for the Card?
Well, her favorite type of flowers are Lilies... And I've decided to go out, and buy her a bouquet of Lilies to celebrate the New Year... I did some research, and I came up with my own little message to include on the card... I just need some feedback, to see what other people think of this message...
"They say a Lily represents Purity, and a New Beginning... May Your New Year Correspond with these Lilies, and with the Conclusion of 2007, you view 2008 as a New Beginning, and a Beacon of Success that is bound to come your way this Year."

Is there anywhere that I could purchase Mariposa flowers and have them delivered in Central Eastern Kansas?
Call your local florist and can find and send them there.

If I get flowers delivered from a love interest do I tip the delivery person?
I'd say no. Do you tip the UPS guy? Usually tipping is for those service-industry jobs that pay under min. wage, and the tips make up an actual part of their salary. The gratuity police won't arrest you for tipping the delivery guy, if you feel the need to, but I don't think it's expected. If you want to be completely sure, call the florist, ask to speak to the manager or owner and ask them.
If I get flowers delivered from a love interest do I tip the delivery person?
You can if u want. I don't think u have to.
Reply:no
Reply:yes...tip..even if a couple dollars
Reply:Your love interest would have taken care of that part. just be sure to show gratitude, and enjoy the treatment.

I want to find an online florist that delivers and i want the flowers to be under $20. where do i go?
I'd try www.1800flowers.com; however, I really don't think that other than a sympathy bouquet on clearance that you are going to get anything delivered for under $20. I have used this site many times and what they do is cooperate with a local florist and charge approximately $10 to deliver. You should probably just go to a local florist.

I can't find anyone able to deliver flowers to Scottsdale AZ for Mother's Day at this late hour. I waited too long to order. I tried a few national flower companies and they all say it's too late. I tried a few local shops but they're closed Sundays or don't deliver Sundays. HELP, my sister will kill me if i don't send my aging mother some flowers, and you know....Monday is too late!!!

Flowers Online? =P?
*Cough* So yeah. I met this girl online and we fell in love with each-other. Her birthday is coming up and I want to send her flowers. Here is the catch. I don't want to seem creepy and ask for her address. Are their any websites that deliver flowers to the addresses of other members in which the sender is unable to see the address?
I'd appreciate any help, I really don't want her to feel uncomfortable so it has to be secure. Kinda like paypal but with flowers instead of money %26lt;.%26lt;
Thank you in advance. ^^
Flowers Online? =P?
The on line flower is just the same as any flower shop. They both do need a place: like an address to sent the flower to. How else is she going to get the flower. Without an physical address your best luck is to sent her e card. I think she would appreciate that. What's most important is that your thoughtfulness that counts. Best of luck.
Reply:well so, not creepy. just kinda stalkerish. if you fell in love, you should have her address. I've worked in many florists for over 15 yrs. and that just has... STALKER all over it.
Reply:I don't care what you say...sorry this is weird.
1) How can you be in love w/ her on line?
2) WHY wouldn't you ask her for her address?
3) Has she told you she loves YOU?
4) This just sounds wrong, like you want to remain anonymous for a reason.
Look, I know you said you weren't a stalker, but if it walks like a duck and looks like a duck....It's a DUCK.
Just call her office and get her work address and send them there, what you're doing is to strange sorry but I had to respond with my own opinion...I wouldn't have the slighest clue to tell you where to go, I don't think this is a "common procedure"
I was going to recommned www.1800flowers, but after reading all of this. You want something else. Sorry
if there is such a site, I wish you well.
I can't seem to understand how people can fall in love online only? I can see where you could become infatuated or in LUST, but you've never even been to her house or have her address??? Hum...ever think there's a reason for that???
Reply:Go on whitepages.com and look her name up. That should be able to tell you all the information you will need to know for sending flowers.
Reply:You need a street address. How else is the delivery person supposed to know where she lives?
Reply:Send it to her work address, instead. If all else fails, simply forego the surprise thing as it may surprise you she perceive surprises as "creepy" and ask her if she is OK with giving her personal address to someone who is a *cough* romantic guy who want to send flowers to his new love.
Maybe next time you can surprise her with something else or more flowers, as you've envisioned or fantasized, you romantic devil, you.
Reply:just ask her for the address

Can a woman give another woman flowers on Valentines day?
I have this best friend of 9 1/2 years and we haven't been speaking for about 5 months. I called her last week and she said she needs more time alone, but I need her friendship now, I've already given her 5months alone. Should I have flowers and chocolate deliver at her job or would she think I'm gay or something? By the way I'm 100% staright.
Can a woman give another woman flowers on Valentines day?
you two have been friends for 91/2 years so she shouldnt think its gay to be recieving flowers and chocolate from her best friend. if she says she needs for time then just give her some more time, then after a while call her again and ask her whats bothering her.
hope it all works out for you two.
Reply:i think you should offer to take her for a girls night out. make sure she understands you;ll wait until shes ready to hangout/ talk.
Reply:i see nothing wrong with that. In this crazy world a women can marry a woman.
Reply:I don't think I would send flowers and chocolate, that would be sending her the wrong message. Maybe a teddy bear with an I miss you card.
Reply:Sure.I just got an SMS from my bestie for Valentines Day,it doesn't mean you are gay.
In your situation though she might find it a bit pushy-maybe leave it a little longer and then send flowers out of the blue.
Reply:you guys are best friends for 9 years....why would she think you were gay to send her flowers. Valentines day is ultimately about love and love is not just for couples in relationships. On the other hand although i dont doubt your 100% straightness...but why are you forcing yourself on her when she just told you she needs time alone?
Reply:Know what you mean...I miss a friend I once had...send just flowers with a card that says "Hope you are haveing a great day, I miss our friendship"
Hope this works
Reply:If two women can get naked and sleep together i dont see why not
Reply:I've given and received flowers from my best friend, and we are also straight. It's very nice, and I think you should. However, I would skip the chocolate because both flowers and chocolate appears to be a little too romantic for comfort.
Reply:Gay..........
Reply:I don't see anything wrong with it. Good friends love each other and Valentines Day is about all kinds of love, not just romantic love. It might let her know you really care about your friendship.
Reply:Yes that is normal but you need to let her know that your not gay before you do any thing. Because she might take it to seriously, but I think that is great.
Reply:Sure! A friend can give another friend flowers- it's a kind gesture! Women get flowers of sympathy when a loved one dies, women get flowers of kindness from a friend, and women do get flowers from men- but that is the least important kind!

Getting Delivered Flowers as a Just-Because Gesture from Your Sweetie?
makes you feel like you are truly loved.
Getting Delivered Flowers as a Just-Because Gesture from Your Sweetie?
Sure sign their in-love and/or seriously committed to you (if the relationship has been going for some time). That's always a sweet gesture. Guys don't do this stuff unless they are really into their girl.
However, if its soon after the beginning of the relationship and he hasn't '"gotten any" then be wary. It could be a "let me melt her to get her in the sack" type move. Other clues can tip you off if its sincere or not.
Any questions, give me a shout.

Do men like flowers delivered to them at work?
any men out there, would you like that, or is that just a girl thing, and would you be imbarresed?
my husband is 40, works at a big plant and is very important out there, but i would love to for valentines send him some roses, maybe not a dozen, but.... just a few... what do yall think?
Do men like flowers delivered to them at work?
Go for it. The other guys will be jealous. A guy I work with got them from his wife. The rest of us wish our wife would do something like that for us.
Reply:No for gods sake don't do it. I did this once and it turned out horribly for my husband. He's my ex now so I can laugh about it, but if you care for him you won't.
Reply:My husband has just turned 50 and in all honesty l don't believe he would appreciate getting any sort of flowers delivered to him at work or at home for that matter. I think it is more a girl thing. Perhaps you could send him a valentine teddy or heart, he may appreciate that more. Just a suggestion. Best of luck
Reply:Oh, mine does. He says it makes him feel special. He prefers roses too. I sure love that man!
Reply:If your questioning it, I would say no. I wouldn't like it.
Reply:Hell no.
Reply:No, that would not be a good idea. His (male)co-workers will make fun of him.
Reply:send him a arrangement that your can get from 1800 flowers they do make guy ones
Reply:he would be embarassed and his mates would take the piss!! Send him something if you like, but better not flowers... think of something more manly - his fav aftershave or a crate of beer (unless that could get him in trouble at work of course!) - or what about a really nice lunch hamper with all his fav foods...??
Reply:No
Reply:To be honest, no.
It is the embarrassment factor at stake here
Reply:DON'T DO IT.
EVERYONE WILL MAKE FUN OF HIM FOR YEARS!
HE WILL RECENT YOU FOR IT.
Reply:Unless your husband is gay, I don't think it's something he'd enjoy.
Reply:aww that's cute. send him roses. get rid of the sterotype of men and flowers. i know tons of men who love flowers but are afraid to say anything. Just maybe send him like 2 and send a card saying "Together like beautiful roses (or something cheesy and funny)... Happy Valentine's Day"
I truly think your husband will love that you thought about him. good luck
Reply:DON"T DO IT!
Unless you want him to be harrassed for the next 5 years.
Reply:That's great. Flowers are for everyone, there's no standard on giving flowers. Men get them when they die too. Give flowers to all that are alive to smell and enjoy them.
Reply:hmmm nice that you brought this up, i love flowers to receive and to give to; male and female recipient :)
Reply:My husband loves getting flowers at work. I suppose that would depend on your husband. You could say something like "Sheryl wants to send her husband flowers at work." and see how he reacts. Don't do it if it would embarrass him. Spend your money on something HE would like not something you WANT him to like. Good luck and have a great Valentines Day.
Reply:I love my significant other very much...but if she was to send me flowers to work.....that would be very embarrassing for me. I would hope that you would do something loving but something that can promote his masculinity better than flowers.
But that's my opinion
Reply:Yes, I love it. I have had many flowers felivered to me at work, and it makes all the other men jealous or mad that their women don't do that for them.
Reply:i wouldnt like it... and everyone would make fun of me at work.
Reply:Definitely not. Wouldn't want them at home either. Flowers all right in the house from market or something but not delivered. If you send them to your husband he will have to change job.
Reply:i wonder this too
Reply:My husband would like it, but that's just him (and he's a manly man too). I guess it just depends on your guy. What about send him a basket of stuff he likes to snack on? A few guys where my hubby works have received gifts like that from their gf/wives and they always gloat about it.
Reply:I couldn't resist answering this. I sent flowers to my husband at his work once for our anniversary when he was 40ish. He loved it! He was a little embarrassed but enjoyed the havoc it created with the women in the office because most of them do not receive flowers. It created a memorable moment for everyone. I threw in a balloon and some candy too. In a way it was a payback for all the times he came in the bank I worked at with those very loud singing stuffed animals, flowers and balloons. The bank was very big and I was the front desk person. The loud echo from the songs and peoples stares were quite memorable to me, everyone laughed and I wanted to crawl under my desk. Come to think of it, he hasn't done that in the last two years...Hmmmm. I would do it!
my husband is 40, works at a big plant and is very important out there, but i would love to for valentines send him some roses, maybe not a dozen, but.... just a few... what do yall think?

Does anyone have an idea how I can get flowers delivered for Valentine to my girlfriend in Namibia.?
She lives in Okahandja and would love to surprise but my funds are low so needing something not too expensive.....the pleasures of long distance :-)
Does anyone have an idea how I can get flowers delivered for Valentine to my girlfriend in Namibia.?
Get one of her family members to get them for her from you and then call her and ask her how she liked them and tell her that you love her dearly
Reply:Don't sweat it, they don't celebrate Valentine's Day in Namibia.

What is a good replacement for flowers to send to a guy on his bday?
I want to make my fiance feel special on his bday/our anniversary the way flowers make a girl feel special when they're delivered to her. The only thing I can come up with is chocolate-covered fruit but he doesn't really like chocolate-covered anything. Any other suggestions? I want to be able to call this in and have it delivered to his office.

i dont think u can really do that for a guy...
Reply:We men are easy, just give him a card while he's at work and give him his real present when you two settle in for the night, catch my drift?
Reply:Insted of Roses on his piano, how about two lips on his organ.
Reply:if he has a sense of humor, a singing telegram
Reply:balloon will beembarrassing enough, maybe a letter from you with, well, whatever ou choose to put in that letter...
they also sell fruit arrangement w.o the choc.
Reply:Hey! Do you know making anything with your own hands? Okay, if not then simply get a nice wrist watch for him and put a message tag like this: I will always have time for you.
I woul love a hand-made gift if you were going to send it to me. Haha!!!
Reply:You can get the eatable fruit arrangements.
Reply:Oh man, this works really well! Get him a candy bar bouquet!! These are sooo cool, and they can cost about as much as a bouquet of roses! He can show it off at work or at home, and the best part... he can eat it instead of watching the flowers rot.
:)
Reply:ok send him some tickets to a concert or something but if uu cant afford that send him ... idk guys dont like much but cars and sex ... lets see here... ... ... i know send him a real nice watch cant go wrong with a good watch (not mechanical get the old regular type)
Reply:i don't think that there is anything quite like flowers, but..... maybe..... a really nice card or something, and hey, maybe you could just send him some flowers, guys aren't as sentimental as girls anyway.

Reply:I sent my boyfriend a cookie bouquet for Valentine's Day and he loved it. (It ended up arriving the day before, which was even more of a surprise.)
I got mine from http://www.cookiesbydesign.com and he was quite pleased with it (although I thought the cookies didn't taste very good, lol -- I'm sort of a cookie connossieur though). If you do a web search for cookie bouquets, you'll find many other providers to try.
Reply:They now make "cookie bouquets" It looks like it would be a flower arrangement, but it is made out of cookies. Really cute, and good!
Reply:For Valentine's Day, I asked all my guy friends what men really want.
"You really wanna know?"
"Other than a good lay."
"Can't really think of anything else."
Try something that involves him coming home to you wearing an apron and heels. Position yourself in the bedroom, on your knees at the front door or draped over the dinning room table.
That'll work.

Is it proper to carry flowers into the funeral home or should they be delivered?
Is there a proper etiquette? I'm talking about the visitation, not really the actual funeral.
Is it proper to carry flowers into the funeral home or should they be delivered?
Normally, you would have them delivered. However, at almost every funeral the funeral director is at the door greeting people. Just give them to the funeral director and tell them which family they are for, cause sometimes more then one viewing is going on at a time.
Reply:delivered is best but you can bring in small arrangements
Reply:they're usually delivered, but i don't think it would be a problem to bring them there yourself.
Reply:generally the flowers are delivered ...if you would like to take the flowers before the scheduled visitation and drop them off ..this would be fine...I have done this before... but ,I don't remember ever seeing anyone come to a visitation carry flowers in with them.......
Reply:If the family would rather not have flowers, it is proper to do neither. Check with the family. They sometimes don't like the flowers because it creates a mess and they would rather have the funds put to some other use. But if they don't mind, then have them delivered. Bring some kind of a dish instead. During a grieving period, people usually don't have the strength to cook much less the desire to eat, but they need to build up their energy. It is a more thoughtful thing to do.
Reply:I think that they should be brought prior to the viewing. It doesn't matter who delivers them. However, if you are bringing them while the viewing is going on that may seem abrupt. I like to send a plant to the grieving families home; because it costs the family to have those flowers disposed of. A plant holds more memory and it can be kept. I think it is sensless to spend that money when the majority of the flowers are tossed. More, and more people are choosing in lieu of flowers to donate to the deceased favorite charity or a cause that relates. Makes more sense to me.
Reply:Having them delivered is the best option, but if you must take them have whoever greets you at the door set them in place.
Reply:Actually, what's usually done is that you call the florist and order what you want, ususally cut flowers. they'll ask you what you want to spend, and you give them the name and address of the funeral home. Then they deliver them, and the funeral director will arrange them with the other floral tributes. I've never seen anyone bring flowers to the funeral home themselves. That would be rather awkward.
Reply:Hi
its fine for you to hand deliver them before the funeral or if you wish leave them in the car and pop them onto the grave after the service. then its nice and pesonal. its up to you - don't worry about whats right or wrong -
although the florist will deliver them fresh on the morning of the funeral and you will therefore not be worrying about being in the way. or bumping into very close family members who are greiving - although i presume you are not only due to the fact that you have asked the question. sorry if i am wrong.

Reply:Normally they would be delivered. If you would like to carry them in, try to get there before everyone else does.
Reply:Delivered.
Reply:You should take them before the funeral/visitation. You don't have to pay to have them delivered--if it's in town, you'd do much better to go to a florist and pick out an arrangement yourself (or choose one for them to make you) and take it by yourself.
If you just order...something, like FTD, you don't have much choice as to, say, what's in a dish garden or spray.
But don't walk into the gathering with them. I think that would be tacky. Go beforehand, give them to the funeral director (fill out the card from the florist), and then they'll be able to put them somewhere before everybody gets there. That way, it'll look more professional and organized.
Reply:As a funeral director it is best to give the flowers to a funeral director. Also wait till your the last person to go into the home. Thanks
Reply:The least you have to worry about is proper 'etiquette'. Who cares? Just take them and that's it! Jeez!!!
Reply:Well I think it depends if its your family...If its a friend then you should have them delivered..I took flowers to my son for the viewing and the funeral and put them on top of his casket..
Take Care~
Reply:It's ok, but hold the chocolate box, please.
Reply:It is perfectly acceptable (in my religion) to deliver flowers yourself. Enter quietly and place them with the other flowers....don't just carry them around.

What is it like to be an undertaker for profession?
I had a job as a flower delivery. I was send to a funeral home, to deliver flowers. I asked them where I could leave the flowers, and they told me to put it in the cooler and pointed to some big metal doors. I was so scared to find dead bodies in there that I left the flowers in the hall way and toke off. I still can hear them laugh at me.
What is it like to be an undertaker for profession?
It's a chosen profession like anything else. Some are cut out for it and some aren't. I feel so sorry for you that they pulled that cruel joke on you. We would never do that to an outsider. We all had a sense of humor (you have to), but we were also very compassionate, hard working people. It wasn't originally my chosen field, and my parents thought I was crazy, but I've never regretted doing it for 17 yrs. At first it was 'fear of the unknown', but after adjusting, it was an amazing profession. Next time you go (preferably to another funeral home) ;) ask for a tour. It's much better to be familiar with one before you actually need one. They won't subject you to 'creepy' things.
Downside...making funeral arrangements for babies and children :(
Reply:You would get used to it just as they did most likely. I did know a guy who got out of the business because it got to him after a number of years though.
Reply:Well, there is the midnight shift, the long hours, darkness, weird noises, back breaking shoveling, the smell, ghosts, restless spirits, sleepless days, and the worst part-the ones that wake up. Apart from that, the pay is good, they give you the uniforms (black suits) we have a nice big ride with a lot of space for speakers, we get free flowers for our significant others, and free shoes.

Did anyone else out there have trouble with their flowers from FTD not being delivered 2/14/07?
I ordered from FTD online on 2/12/07. The website says the flowers were delivered, but they weren't.
The customer service line "isn't taking calls at this time" (so much for 24/hr a day service!)
I was wondering if there might be some widespread problem that has them all tied up?
I emailed customer service and have not received a response.
NOW I have to file a dispute with my credit card that will take 3-6 weeks to resolve.
I wil NEVER use FTD again!
Did anyone else out there have trouble with their flowers from FTD not being delivered 2/14/07?
Yeah, I had the same problem. I ordered flowers for my wife on the 8th, delivery was set for the 14th. Since it wasn't delivered I checked the tracking and it didn't leave the florist until the 14th. That was from Ohio, we live in California. I have no idea what they're thinking. I feel embarrassed having them show up a day late, even though my wife says she doesn't care. NO ONE I KNOW WILL EVER USE FTD AGAIN. If there was a problem with weather I can deal with that...but why did they leave the florist the day they were supposed to be delivered, and aren't there local shops they can be sent from? There are no weather problems in CA. An email or some form of communication would have been nice.
Reply:The same thing happened to me. I'm furious. I'm contacting the Better Business Bureau, they have resolved issues for me before. I suggest you all should do the same. Good luck Report It
Reply:I did but I found out they don't deliver to federal prisons so I wasn't surprised.
Reply:My boss did , he orded them (2-9-07) and wanted them sent to the office on V-Day, (because the office is not open on wekeds) they delivered them the next day (2-10), which was a saturday, that Monday I came to the office and they were at the front door, and they got frozen and of course runied. BELIVE me he was not happy..... so yeah they SUCK..
Reply:a lot of flower services had problems because most of the north east was hit with a horrible storm and it caused them to have to cancle deliveries and reschedule them for today. i would say if you dont get them today (or whomever was recieving them doesnt) call them again and get your money back. i know a few places were giving a $20 refund because of the problem
Reply:No... but you may have cuz I wuz watcing the newz this morning and it said they delivered late cuz of the weather.
Reply:Right there with you-- FTD promised shipping on 2/14, it's 2/15 and still no sign of those flowers! They might have a glitch-- hope you get more answers to prove it! NO FTD-- your local florist can do the same thing for the same price with better guarantees and service...

try walmart.com
Reply:proflowers.com but you have until Feb 8th. They are great, and flowers will arrive ups dhl or fedex before they bloom. They will still be budding.
Reply:800flowers.com is pretty good about flexible delivery and making things happen. the best idea would be to find a local florist where you want them delivered and go that way. i'm sure they'll be able to accomodate a 2/13 delivery if you call now.

Sending flowers overseas, is it safe?
hey, I'm sending flowers to another country, but I don't wanna use my card. A florist promises to deliver flowers to another country. how do I know that I'm not getting ripped off? apparently they use an international system called 'transflora'
Sending flowers overseas, is it safe?
Try sending flowers via 1800flowers.com . I have been using them and so far ( knock on wood ) , they have been doing a good job cause the people i send to flowers to sends me an e-mail saying they got it. There on time as well .When you request the flowers to be there on a Thursday , it will get there on a Thursday
Reply:Yes it is quite safe. I live in England and have had flowers delivered to family members in Africa and the States. I used www.interflora.co.uk
They are a reputable company so you shouldnt get screwed but use your credit card for online transactions because most CC companies will offer you protection from online fraud. Hope this helps...
Reply:Most florist have contacts with this system, you just pay your local florist however you wish too, and let him wire the order and the money. Either that or use one of the online services like ltd or 1800flowers or whatever that is.
Reply:i dont know sorry i couldnt help

Reply:Yes it is quite safe. I live in England and have had flowers delivered to family members in Africa and the States. I used www.interflora.co.uk
They are a reputable company so you shouldnt get screwed but use your credit card for online transactions because most CC companies will offer you protection from online fraud. Hope this helps...
Reply:Most florist have contacts with this system, you just pay your local florist however you wish too, and let him wire the order and the money. Either that or use one of the online services like ltd or 1800flowers or whatever that is.

Looking for site that delivers flowers on a very tight budget.?
We have a new grandbaby and want to send the mother flowers but we are on a very tight budget. We have searched sites but can't afford the prices.
Looking for site that delivers flowers on a very tight budget.?
Try some of the local florist in the town you need to send the flowers to. You can save a little by doing that. Your skipping the middle man like teleflorist and going directly to the sourse. Use one of the yellow pages searches to find a florist in the area.

I've gotten flowers from them and they came beautifully boxed and then I placed the flowers in the vase that was included and they got more beautiful each day because they are so fresh that they are still opening when they arrive. They stayed beautiful longer than any flowers from a florist. It was fun to receive a big long box like long stem roses used to come in!

What would guys like to get instead of flowers?
Men can send a women a bunch of flowers for a special event. That's pretty no-brainer. But what if a woman wants to send something to a man, something that is delivered to his office? Men, what would you like to get that would be classy and flattering, without going the flowers route?
What would guys like to get instead of flowers?
Tickets to a major sporting event?
I like wings. My wife tried to get Hooter's to deliver wings to my office once. That would have been messy and I don't know that the Hooter's girls would have gone over very well, but I appreciated the thought and effort.
Reply:chocolate.. if a girl sent me flowers id like that too even though its kinda weird.
Reply:sports tickets, beer, strip tease,
Reply:I sent my guy a money clip that had his first initial and last name engraved on it to celebate his getting promoted. but that cost me way more than a dozen roses, lol.
Reply:Well some men are obsessed with something....or have a hobby....
perhaps a desire or a dream
Let's say my guy friend dreamed of playing guitar
I might get him one....! lol
We'll have weekly jam sessions - when he's able to play. lol
Reply:Maybe a gift card from a sport bar.....

Should i send flowers to this girl that i like at her job?
Theres this girl i like, we use to go to the same school and we were really good friends. But now i like her more than a friend but she dosn't know i like her. So i'm thinking of delivering flowers to her job, should I??
Should i send flowers to this girl that i like at her job?
Without a doubt send flowers. No risk? Then no reward. Tell her how you really feel, love is something to deep and intesnse to keep bottled up. Fight for the ones you love it shows character. Plus it takes a lot of guts to take that next step so it's a very strong possibility she'll be impressed, and at least give you a shot.
Reply:Don't do it!
If you are really wanting a honest answer from her
of whether or not she is interested in you to, sending
flowers to her work is a bad idea.
All she will hear from all the other hens in the office
is how sweet you were, and how happy she should be
and on and on and it might blind her true feelings.
Reply:do you know where see lives it would be a lot less embarrassing if you sent them there first *** she would have a nightmare trying to explain it to her work mates and less rejection for you if the passion is only one way
Reply:A nice tasteful arrangement would be lovely delivered to her job.

The Gourmet Cheese of the Month Club, members receive three, half-pound freshly cut blocks of extraordinary cheeses selected from boutique manufacturers around the world.
Reply:Honestly, chocolates are good but isnt that a better gift for a girl.
In my opinion, gift a boy something he likes. Like a cool keychain, music cd of his favt band, cologne, a cool Tshirt, you get good bracelets too and boys love it and if you manage to find a good bracelet for him, it will always remind him of you :) sweet!
I just mentioned some of them. Hope this helps. :)
Reply:Their is a business near me that makes arrangements using different types of fruit. I think the name of the place is "Edible Arrangements". If they like fruit that would be a great idea.
Another one is cookies. There is another place either here in RI or in MA called "Cookie Creations".
Good luck either way!
Reply:A cookie bouquet! It is cookies made to look like a bouquet. The cookies are really yummy!!!! I hope you have these in your country.

Whats a company similer to 1800- flowers.com?
I need a company similar to 1800flowers.com but less expensive. i need a company that will deliver flowers to someone in san bernadino, ca on fourth of july

Go to the website in my source and you will see a list of on-line florists on the left side toward the bottom of the page.
Reply:I don't know prices, but you can try proflowers
Reply:There is also FTD Florists, but I completely would NOT recommend them. At Valentines day I sent my girlfriend flowers which showed up wilted and not what I ordered. Then, as they had a "100% guarantee" deal, I complained and never heard from them again.

My fiance lives in california and i live in nyc, i want to send her flowers on valentines day to her college?
My fiance lives in california and i live in nyc, i want to send her flowers on valentines day to her college. i want someone to deliver her the flowers in her class. how is this possible and what do i do PLEASE HELP
My fiance lives in california and i live in nyc, i want to send her flowers on valentines day to her college?
call a flower delivery service in her area and order the flowers from them.
give them all her info...school address, what class and room she will be in (if you can find it out)..and they will deliver it.
since it's a college, and i'm guessing that it's pretty big, i would suggest that you call the school ahead of time and request that someone bring them in to her classroom...since it's valentines day i'm sure that a bunch of people are requesting this, so make sure you call earlier and make some type of an arrangement....otherwise they may just keep them in the office and have her pick them up after class.
:)
good luck!!

Roses are nice but carnations last longer. They also look good with a lot of baby's breath with them.Just say what's in your heart and good luck.Have a good night.

Reply:Carnations and alstromeria last a LONG time. The longer they are around the longer she will be thinking about you. On the other hand, nothing gets a gasp from a woman quicker than the tradtional dozen red roses. It's trite, but a very passionate and definite statement. Roses still may look like you just told the florist to "send whatever you usually send..."... I'd go for the carnations and alstromeria... get cream carnations with rose edges and rose colored alstromeria...it'll look like you put some thought into it.
Reply:give her some roses.

You'd probably want to send her simple flowers that are'nt too big. Like cornelias or pansies.
Reply:those red roses with pink stripes are really gorgeous
and as for the saying, i'm not sure..

Delivering Flowers to Japan?
I want to send flowers to someone living in Hiroshima, Japan locally. What is the best online service in terms of security and credibility?
Is Floraqueen.com any good?
Thanks!
Delivering Flowers to Japan?
I have used the site below to send my fiance and/or her family in Osaka many times. They service all of Japan. It's like FTD in the US. It's very secure and works well. Use the second link if you don't speak Japanese like me. They deliver very beautiful flowers at precisely the time you choose. It's a great service and very reasonable. Much less than using an American company that will charge as much as $200 to do the same thing.
Reply:I've never heard of that website.

Japan is a strong country with lots of big business. If you are concerned, email the staff at the site before you do anything.
You shouldn't have any problems.

Will a florist tell someone who sent them flowers?
My friend received a dozen roses from a secret admirer for Valentine's Day. She has no idea who they are from, however she works as a health professional and is concerned that it they may be from an unstable patient. She is wondering if the flower shop who delivered them will disclose the senders name or any other type of information. Is there some sort of florist code of ethics here? She is concerned for her safety as am I. Thanks.
Will a florist tell someone who sent them flowers?
It depends on how exactly the flowers were ordered... If the flowers were ordered on-line/ by phone and the florist that delivered them is simply a contractor they may not have any information regarding who ordered the flowers...
Your friend should contact the florist who delivered the flowers and ask them for any information they may have....
In the meantime your friends should place the flowers out of public view... If someone unstable did send them they will undoubtedly be encouraged if they see the flowers displayed...
Reply:all the florist could do is say no...so tell your friend to ask anyway. Once I got flowers at work (my new husband didn't have a credit card and was out of town and asked me to buy flowers for myself and have them sent to work. I felt strange about doing that but he said he wanted me to be like the other girls and all of them had flowers, so at noon I ordered them.) When they arrived the supervisor came over to me and said "I know you bought those for yourself". I thought I'd die a thousand deaths. She had the nerve to call the florist and ask for the info. sigh
Reply:Most florists will not tell you who sent the flowers if asked not to. If there isa safety question invloved, I would call the manager of the store, tell them that you are concerned abou the person who sent them to you and ask if it was X. THey may or may not say and you need to be careful that you don't violate andy confidentially rules by using his name (i.e. can't say he is "unstable") If it is a really serious concern, go to the police and have thm trace the order.
Reply:well I don't know what the situation is but if she feels threatened by this person and this person has done something else...like show up at her door or call continuously she could file a police report. I had to do this when someone was stalking me. If it isn't that serious I wouldn't do it but you never know. The guy she filed against wouldn't find out unless he got in trouble. Then maybe the officer can ask the florist and they are more likely to tell him. If I were her I would explain the situation to the florist and they might tell you. If not, and other things happen, there is always the police.
Reply:Some florists have the customer's confidentiality so I really doubt that they will disclose any information. But you could try, maybe this one will give it to you without batting an eyelash.
Reply:She should just ask the florist and see what they say.
Reply:I called once to enquire. They would not tell me. I am sure it is different everywhere. I would call and ask.
Reply:If the sender of the flowers requests that his/her identity not be revealed, then most florists would honor that.
Will a florist tell someone who sent them flowers?
It depends on how exactly the flowers were ordered... If the flowers were ordered on-line/ by phone and the florist that delivered them is simply a contractor they may not have any information regarding who ordered the flowers...

How do I go about sending flowers to someone in the hospital?
I have a friend in the hospital who just had surgery and I wanted to send some flowers (he's a guy, but I don't know what else to send). I thought I'd order from the 1-800-flowers or somewhere like that online....what instructions do I give in order for them to be delivered to the hospital?? I've never done it before. Thanks!
How do I go about sending flowers to someone in the hospital?
The flower place will know what to do. I'm sure they've delivered there before. Just make sure you get his room number to give them. You can get that information by calling the front desk at the hospital.
You should take them in person, I'm sure he'll appreciate it even more.
You could also send one of those cookie arrangements from www.cookiesbydesign.com or some other food gift basket. Guys love food lol.
Reply:hospital name, address, room number, name of recipient.
Reply:I have worked 4 years as a florist so I will be happy to answer your question. First of all is your friend in a hospital locally? If so go to your nearest florist and pick out what you would like and have them deliver it. If it isn't local, you can still go to the local florist and they will call the florist closest to his hospital and have them sent. You can also see some arrangements such as an FTD bouquet or something that they have done and tell them you want something like that. They can tell the other florist what you want as florist try to keep a variety on hand to duplicate arrangements shown in books. Of course some flowers may not be available due to seasons like tulips. They will often do it on the spot , but sometimes not, but you will know exactly what it is going to cost for the arrangement, the delivery fee and the wire fee. You just pay the local florist and the florists work out payment amongst the two of them. They are the go between and want to make you happy too. You can order from 1-800 flowers if you wish. They will have photos of arrangements on line. You would give them info on where to deliver and pay by credit card.

infections an all that garbage!
Reply:Normally theres a gift shop in the hospital sweetie. Go there..... they have lotssss of flowers and chocolate and cards.

If i ordered flowers online, would they be delivered the same way as local shops?
i don't want them showing up in a box, i want them to get there already arranged and everything. No opening a box involved.
If i ordered flowers online, would they be delivered the same way as local shops?
online flower shops have contacts already with local flower shops. so as if anyone will order online, then they will just wire it to their local shops for delivery. but some online flower shops have their own shops too that's why some page have warnings like "no international delivery".
Reply:yeah, they will have a local florist deliver them.

Do men like to receive flowers at the office?
I'm thinking about having flowers delivered to my husbands office for his birthday today. Not a large arrangement, just something small.
Men- if your wife sent you flowers at work, would you be ok with that?
Thanks!
Do men like to receive flowers at the office?
My husband says he's not into it, my friend Mike says he doesn't see why not. Not being a guy, I won't offer a personal opinion.

Reply:Absolutely. Though men tend to prefer what's called "High Style" or "Oriental" arrangements. Bright colors; stay away from pink and pastels. Striking flowers and textures are good - Bird of Paradise, miniature iris, protea, interesting greenery like Bear Grass, ...
Make sure the florist knows this is going to a man.
Reply:no guys dont want flowers at thier office. Any guy that says they do is lying, it would be embarassing to get a boquet of flowers delivered to your place of employment.
Reply:a man person that i work with recieved flowers for his birthday from a girlfriend he was really shocked and happy that he got them :) he said he had never recieved flowers before and he really liked it :)
Reply:I think you should spend the money on some lingerie for you instead and wear it tonight.... also buy some body chocolate or something....
He will like that much more than flowers....
Or atleast my hubby would.
Reply:The only guy I know that got flowers at work was gay, and even HE was embarrassed. Cook him some food or take him out to lunch. Guys like food. Heck, I'm pretty sure everyone LIKES food.
You could give him a bouquet of food gift cards. I like 7-eleven ones best.
Reply:I'd like it personally. It's a nice surprise. As for the "men don't like flowers" types, there's really not much else you can send him besides food. Which isn't a bad idea. If you send your husband some Pizza he'll enjoy it and will be able to share that more easily with his co-workers.
Reply:send chocolates. Most flower store sell them. Flowers are more of a womans thing
Reply:My husbands getting flowers in an hour at work. Its our 6th anniversary, I send him flowers all the time to work. Something very small, not feminine and usually with a coffee cup or food of some kind in the gift pack. He loves it.
Reply:bahahahahaha...this is the perfect joke to play on my guy friend. This is a great way to totally EMBARASS him. Thanks for the great idea. As for as sending them to your husband, I think it's great, if there is divorce papers in there as well.
Reply:sure, and while you're at it, send a really pretty blouse for him to wear.
Reply:My wife did that to me once.
I appreciated her thoughtfulness—I really did, but I didn’t know what the hell I was supposed to do with the flowers. I kept them on my desk that first day, and I just felt like a frickin idiot having them there. I don’t like to draw a lot of attention to myself, and that’s all those things did—draw attention to me. I put them in our break room, and left them there until they died.
Send your husband balloons instead.
Reply:It depends on the guy. We all have our "love language." For me, an internet card from my wife telling me how much she loves me is far greater than getting some flowers. Think about what your husband likes the most. Too often, we give people things that we'd like to get ourselves.
Reply:I would be embarrassed by the flowers. I don't want no stinking flowers.
Reply:Don't send flowers, that's more of a girl thing. Balloons maybe, but no flowers.
Depending where he works and with whom, you could send pizza, bagels, or something like that. A birthday cake might work best and be the most appropriate.
Reply:I'm not a big fan of flowers in general. I appreciate the sentiment, but find some other way of expressing it please.
Reply:yes, just not real flowery------keep it simple
Reply:I don't care for flowers. They are lost on me. My wife loves them, that's cool. No, I would not want to receive flowers. Send me food or drink maybe. Just not really a guy thing. Maybe some guys would like that, but not me.
Reply:No, it's gay. We prefer Strippergrams.
Reply:I wanted to do that for my husband also, but just wasn't sure it was a very good idea. I compromised with a basket of sliced, chocolate covered fruit arranged to look like a bouquet of flowers (you really have to see it). He loved it!! I believe the site is ediblearrangements.com.
Reply:It would be ok... but I wouldn't be thrilled.
Flowers don't have the same appeal as ...say... a gift card to an electronic store.
If you wanted something that would "display" your affection, anything that lights up, is electronic and flashes would probably be more appreciated.
But, hey, maybe your man likes flowers.
Reply:I'm not a guy, but i think it would be a very nice thing, and telling your husband that he is special and it would let everyone in the office know that he is special to you. So go for it.

How much would it cost to have some flowers delivered?
to my girlfriend? Roses and Violets? Just wondering, and do the prices go up around holidays, like Valentines Day? And is there an additional fee for a message or card to be delivered? If you need to know location, it is in West Linn, Oregon! Thank you!

Decent flowers between $60 and $100, but more will get you closer to your goal!
Reply:Hey man,
ucla bruin fan is correct. Of all things, you can't skimp on flowers. Don't go completely hog wild...but $60-$100 is accurate.
She'll love it too.
Reply:roses are over done, violets are a good choice, but for around $45 you could get something original and beautiful. i send my g/f daisies and a card. make sure they are white with a lime center. and don't just send them to her house. send them to where she works. she'll enjoy it even more.

Do i tip the person delivering flowers??
Since my friend graduated college, i decided to get her flowers and get them delivered from her local flower company......im in PA and she is in Wash DC......they gave me a price for the flowers (but i dont know if the person delivering them to her gets a tip).....obviously she is going to be suprised to get the flowers and probably not tip the guy.....is the tip included, or do i add one to the person bringing them??? i have no idea
Do i tip the person delivering flowers??
The person receiving the gift is supposed to tip, but, yeah, when it's a surprise, it's possible she won't have any money on her. I know what you mean; I used to deliver pizzas, too, and was really annoyed when I got no tip. Gas ain't cheap...
I don't think you are expected to tip when you are the sender of the flowers, by the way.
Reply:I don't tip flower delivery people - I always do the pizza guy though - hmmm something to think about
Reply:just flash them at the door

For valentines, how would you like to receive your flowers in your workplace?
Should I deliver flowers to her workplace in person or should I have the florist have someone deliver it to her? If it was you, how would you like it?
She works for 4 hours and then has class later on.
For valentines, how would you like to receive your flowers in your workplace?
Well personally i would prefer them delivered by a guy wearing tube socks and a bow tie...that's it.
I would have the florist delivered the flowers in your case, a half naked dude my shock the heck out of your girl...
Reply:no deliveries at work. keep that stuff private.
Reply:I'd much rather have them delivered to my work by him, but the florist is ok if he's busy or out of town.
I get to show off my flowers...... love that.
My husband used to always have them waiting at the house for me, but recently he's caught on.
I put my flowers on my desk and all the clients compliment them, and they also think he's a sweet guy.
So he gets bonus points from me and the clients!

I am looking for an Online plant nursery that can deliver before Christmas? Anyone know a good site?
I am getting my mother a new plant for her yard for Christmas, the only things that or local nurserys and Lowes or Home Depot has right now are non flowering trees, nothing pretty, My mother is the best when it comes to plants. I want to get her something different as in a flowering shrub, please do not send me links to places that deliver boquets, I am looking for the live growing things. Thanks a ton!

I ordered from TYTYGA.com on Monday and had my nagami kumquat tree delivered about midday today and I didn't pay for express shipping - not bad and they have a huge selection on their website (i did not order on line - i called in my order after looking up exactly what I wanted on line) - you can also look for parkseed (they sell more than seeds)
Reply:Parks Garden %26amp; Seed, Wayside Gardens,Spring Hill, %26amp; Oakes Daylily are a few of the 50 I have on my desktop.

Ordering flowers from FTD, is it a scam?
has anybody had a bad experience with FTD..do they really mail the flowers on time like they say? i read on here that FTD stands for "forget to deliver".
is ftd a scam or a legit flower company?
Ordering flowers from FTD, is it a scam?
Forget FTD and all the other on line flower people like Teleflora and others. They are generally NOT reliable! If you wish to send flowers, go to or call a local florist who can take your order and contact a florist in the town where the delivery will be made. This is the safest most reliable way.
Reply:I've ordered flowers from FTD after looking at the various pics of arrangements they have. The flowers that show up are often of poor quality for some reason. So I gave up on FTD and now just Google a florist in the town where I want them sent and order that way. I have even called the florist, told them to look at a pic of a bouquet on FTD's website, and they have made it perfectly!
So my advice, don't do FTD. Go to a local. You'll get a better deal. Just google florist and whatever town they are supposed to go.
Reply:FTD is legit but they're not very reliable. I've heard several accounts of how they don't deliver.
A co-worker of mine got flowers for Valentine's Day from her boyfriend about 2-3 weeks before the actual date!!! And a friend of mine paid extra $ to ensure delivery on Valentine's Day %26amp; they didn't deliver the flowers until the following day.
Don't order from FTD!
Reply:They are legit. I've used FTD florists many times.
Reply:FTD is a national association of florists. You order the flowers in your town. Your local florist picks up the phone and call the city where you want the flowers delivered. In that city a florist makes up the boquet and delivers it. They pay a fee to FTD from the amount you pay.
The only problem I have heard of is sometimes the quality of flowers at the recipient florist are not as good as advertised. If you are really leary get the reciever to photograph the boquet and send you the pic.
