i dated this girl i knew for about a year and a half, but then we broke up and went our seprate ways about a year ago, but everyday since then i cant stop thinking about her. not a day goes by that i dont think about her. even though i've thought about her for a year anyway, here for the past couple of days, i have had dreams about her and thinkin of her but not having her is putting me though hell. so my queation is:
if i have a friend of mine that this girl doesnt know deliver flowers to her with my number on a card (she doesnt know my number), and when she calls, i will have a romantic message to her as my voicemail that says how i like her and if she feels the same way, to leave a message. is that too romantic, or will it not work, or what?
Will this work with a girl?
u know urself best, and that's why u tried to change it in a way so that ppl love you. now i personally think ur idea is good enough. but there don't make everything clear, just tell her in a romantic way that u need to talk to her. make her feel good with what u say in that voicemail and make her come to you to hear what u wanna say. and then take a deep breath and start explaining ur heartbeats, say whatever u want to. don't force her on it, just sell ur heart to her, and ask for no money, leave it down to her, and let's see WHAT SHE PAYS BACK
good luck
Reply:Frozenfreebird is right. That song sounds like it could have been written by you....type in blake shelton austin lyrics read it. Might give you some ideas. I think you have a great idea there. You're not getting anywhere as things are now.. all she can say is yes or no. If it's no, try something else or consider yourself lucky coz you could get mixed up in a threesome again. That would be bad news.
Reply:that is sooo sweet if i were the girl i would LOVE you!!
lol
Reply:I think that is very romantic. It reminds me of the song "Austin" by Blake Shelton (for real, look up the lyrics).
That is a sweet and wonderful idea. Very bold of you. I say go for it.
Good Luck!!

Need help with mother's Day?
I am looking for a good restauraunt for breakfast/brunch on mothers day. i live in spring grove illinois and was looking for somewhere around there like in mchenry, crystal lake or somewhere around there. please give me the restauraunts link and if u have eaten there please let me know how it was. also does anybody know of any good websites to buy mother's day gifts on short notice that are a decent price or any websites that will deliver flowers or chocolates on short notice please give me the link. thank u very much.
Need help with mother's Day?
To be honest with you - we learned the hard way that you don't celebrate it on Mother's Day. We have gone out to breakfast, brunch and dinner over the years only to be disappointed in the meals, prices which have been raised just for the occassion, and crowds. I am a mom - and I don't mind celebrating the day before. (I live in a Western Chicago suburb.) However, you might try golf courses or country clubs - they;re prices are usually lower I have found.
But seriously, how much food can one eat for $24.95 - 30.00 per person?
Reply:Give Mom an IOU and take her out Wednesday ( and beat the crowds )

Chances at an Ivy (Columbia)?
It certainly looks like you are qualified. However, Ivy League schools reject about 80% of the Qualified applicants. Therefore, you really need to stand out.
Extracurriculars are great -- but everyone has them, they are easy to pad and they are hard to verify. Therefore, it will be your interview and admissions essay that will be critical in determining if they want you.
The bad news is that odds are against you at any one particular great school. The good news is that you will almost certainly get into some great university.
Reply:I think you can do it. Take into close consideration what the first replier said though.
Reply:Don't feel discourage. You resume looks very very good. And from what it seems, you are standing out with having self to do projects (those are always great). Columbia is very very competitive, and a sureway to increase your chances would be to have an awesome essay. if your grades or your extracurriculars don't make you standout, your essay will definitely make a difference because you are letting them get to know you without getting to meet you firsthand. Also, have great recommendations, and you are very very good standing. Good luck. Ps, have you also try running for a position in the clubs as oppose to being just a member (that will increase your chances as well). If you also tryout for other projects like science fair, or got a private scholarship like Coca cola scholarship, that will defintely get you in. So good luck

Do people from UK, EUROPE ever tip? is that part of their culture.?
I work in a hotel in las vegas as a concierge on one of the 5 star hotel here and I have always do a good job like, im pleasant, I the town pretty well..anyway..we work for tips a lot of people in a hotel, restaurant business work for tips..Being a concierge for 2 years now. I have not ever got a tip more than 5 bucks from the people from UK or European countries.. is that just their culture? oh and the reason why I got my $5.00 is because, i booked a Flight to hawaii for them 5 people and a hotel accomodations for 5 days, made dinner reservations for them for hawaii for 4 nights and on top of that, make dinner reservations for their stay in las vegas nevada and also shows and also deliver flowers. Yes it is part of my job to please them, but, if you ask way too much of a favor you better tip us. we people in this kind of business work for tips.
Do people from UK, EUROPE ever tip? is that part of their culture.?
Well in the U.K and europe the tip is Always included in the bill its common standards there to tip waiters and such are highly respected and so the tips are included in the bill weather the customer likes it or not lol
so they might not realize that their even making a mistake by not tipping you and figuring that the tip is included in the bill
it would be hard to explain to them with out being rude that the tip is not included in the bill but its how you make your living so i would at least try and if they get offended for w/e reason o well right live and learn lol
Reply:In Europe the tip is added to the bill, so it's not like Europeans automatically know how to do it, since they just pay that extra fee anyway.
Reply:hell yeah we tip but its weird we dont always tip the same people you do
we dont tend to tip porters or valets but its common to tip barmen and expected to tip waitresses
Reply:just take your clothes off then there forsure to tip
Reply:I'm not European, but I would like to speak on behalf of a country that does not tip.
I'm from Australia and tipping is very rarely done here. If you bought dinner, coming to $135, you might just give the cashier/waiter $150 and leave the change, but even that's not common, or expected.
Over here, because tipping isn't expected, the waiters/servers etc are paid more, rather then having to rely on tips (which, I personally, think makes more sense).
You may have to be tolerant of people of other cultures who don't tip, because it is a completely foreign concept to them. HOWEVER, I think these people are jerks for not researching YOUR culture before visiting you and tipping appropriately. They are, after all, guests in your country.
Reply:This question is asked all the time, Europeans don't tip because ALL the service staff in Europe are paid good wages you should all go on strike until the management pays you sufficient money so you don't require tips. It is all your own fault, $10 for making a dinner reservation, you must be kidding, if you were to put your hand out for money for that then you surely have a brass neck, if you expected that on the continent you would wait for ever.
Reply:I'm not sure, but you should understand that not only are they on vacation, they are on vacation from another country. So they are tryin to save as much money as they can for their vacation. Which means tipping to the minimum is what they will do.

Could any body give me some ideas for keeping a long distance relationship exciting ? Thanks :)?
I am running out of ideas to keep the relationship alive with my girlfriend who has moved to another city. I am doing the following ..make calls, send sms, deliver flowers/ chocolates/ gifts. Is there anything creative way of keeping the magic alive.? or something that will keep her mind engaged, before I be with her physically. Thanks in advance for the answers.
Could any body give me some ideas for keeping a long distance relationship exciting ? Thanks :)?
THEY NEVER WORK !!!

Reply:Oh yeah, I use to have a long distance relationship, and now we're married! Does she do things for you too? If not, ask her that you'd like her to. You can write her letters! Don't call her for a whole day or two! Then when she checks her mail she'll find your letter!! You could also take a local art class and make her something, pottery or an actual art piece for her to hang and/or display where she lives so she'll always be reminded of what she has! You could also make a trip to see her without her knowing and surprise her! GOOD LUCK!
Reply:HI
i've been in a 6 yrs of long distance relationship, n now m married to the same guy. u r doing lots to keep the relationship alive. but one thing for sure, nothing can be compared to physical presence. so make sure u r always there with her on her birthday, and the anniversary of the day u first met. obviously it should be a surprise. n mind it nothing is impossible.this effort of urs will make her feel special, n u'll always hold that very special position in her life.
Reply:if she loves you and knows your moving to be with her, you should not have to invent ways to keep things exciting, she should just be patient, happy and love you...phone sex might add a little spice tho..try it, its the safest sex,,,lol
Reply:if you both love each other, the magic will be there forever. i met my girlfriend 4 months back and since then i have proposed her, she accepted it, and still we don't know when we would meet. just be your normal self, and she will be yours forever...
Reply:E mail her everyday, send her love poems , and maintain the other things that you are doing daily. I'm sure she will not be able to forget you. Don't forget to say:"I love you".
Reply:You are already doing a lot. But let me ask whether it is reciprocal or not.
Most importantly, you will have to keep the relationship alive and exciting by way of constant touch.
Apart from that...
What about a surprise personal visit?
Reply:yes you can do that if you don't hurt yourself,if you don't feel good you don't keep this relationship.if you love her
do the best for each other
Reply:its hard, my boyfriend and i only saw each other every 2/3 weeks for the first 6/7 months.it sounds like you are doing all the right things to let her know you still think about her all the time. just be sure to try and see each other whenever time permits, meet somewhere in the middle it the distance isn't too far. but above all else, trust is the most important. best of luck!
Reply:You can buy those thingies on the market that can make your penis longer...... dunno, but it might help. Anything to keep the magic alive!
Reply:I promise you that if you try the "surprise visit", you will find her with some other dude when you get there. Women are like raccoons. They like shiney things. The first guy that drives by with his newly washed Mustang will have her pants down around her ankles in no time.
Long distance doesn't work. Even if you think it worked, she will have cheated on you repeatedly. Women are just horrible sex monkeys.
Don't ever get married to an American woman. You seem like the kind of guy who would get taken for everything you own. Stay hard. Stay independent. American women are selfish and useless. They only wnat the free ride and maybe a baby or two. They don't need you around for that when the divorce laws here mean you have to pay them for 18 years regardless.
Reply:i think with all these things its important in a long distance relationship to give that other perrson space, a time in which that person will miss u, and other thing is chatting with webcam on, wen u can c each other, all the best
Reply:That is very difficult, sounds like you are doing all you can do from a distance. Good luck.%26gt;
Reply:personally i don't believe in long distance relationships but that's me! Anyway if you want to keep your relationship going, i think the best that i can think of is to surprise her at her doorstep once in a blue moon. Don't let her know that you're going to visit her then suddenly pop at her doorstep. That would be really sweet! Or have u try cyber-sex with her? It's a form of foreplay that can keep her wanting you? Or phone sex?

First, you can do that. Girls love it when they are made to feel special.
Second, you have to introduce yourself in the message for her to know you and for you to know if she feels the same way.
Third, u deserve to be happy. if you won't do it u will forever wonder if things have worked out for both of you if you had just sent the flowers.
Reply:The first answer is great. Yes I think your method is terrific. At least you will find out once and for all. Cleaning up your act....thumbs up for that....good for you. Well for a year you have wondered if you had a chance....take the step and see if she cares enough to leave a message. If she doesn't leave a message, try it one more time after she has time to think about it. Space it apart by about 2 weeks. If it isn't good news then let it go and get on with your life, close that chapter.
Reply:my suggestion is that as much as some girls love flowers and candy or whatever, you should gain her trust, because it sounds like you lost it to her, so gain her trust become her friend and try to make you move and find out if she feels the same way about you.
